Resistance to Neoliberalism: Two Latin American Cases
In Latin America there are two countries demonstrating
a sustained resistance to international economic pressures:
Cuba, which has spent more than 40 years dealing with the
US trade embargo; and Venezuela, which insists on
investing public funds in social services even after
surviving a coup in 2002.
